KURO FONT scaled

Greetings! As Kuro Font, this is a modern geometric typeface. The Northern Block Ltd is an English font foundry that took possession of this font family’s rights. Founded by Mr. Jonathan Hill on September 23, 2011, the site has been online since then. It was primarily created to expand the value of the sans serif font to modern audiences.

Kuro is a low contrast sans-serif typeface designed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa. Its development began in 2010 as a part of the Foresight project led by Taro Fukushi and Junichi Hamada. The idea was to create a simple, bold font for universal use. Kuro’s last open-source release, 0.2, occurred in February 2014, which was updated to fix a few issues (among other aesthetic things), as well as extending support for more languages (Kuro now supports Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, and Chinese). Kuro has been used for quite a few projects since then, some of which include banners for web advertisements, TV commercials, and websites such as NTT DOCOMO.

The combination of this and subtle specification makes for an attractive, straightforward, and adaptable design. In this way, it gets a lot of fame in a matter of seconds after releasing because of its highly appealing glimpses. Markets have also experienced an increase in demand for this modest font family.

Character Set

A total of nine styles are included in the Kuro Font Family, including Regular, Black, and Heavy. There are more than 450 characters, ligatures, and punctuation marks in each style. Additionally, the designer has only allowed regular fonts for free, and other techniques will cost you a few dollars each.
